Roy Holland, MD FRCP (C)ABOUT ROY HOLLAND, MD FRCP (C)

I have spent a lifetime in practice, working with children and families. For three decades I was Clinical Director of a provincial treatment program for adolescents in British Columbia. On a personal note, my wife Gillian and I fill our lives with our children and grandchildren.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

My practice with youth and families developed over the span of my lifetime, and results from the collaborative efforts of countless people. I am immensely grateful to the many youth workers, social workers, family therapists, program managers and coordinators, community mental health agencies, clinicians, consultants, treatment facilities, universities, researchers, mentors, and colleagues from the psychology and psychiatric fields who have generously contributed to my understanding and use of Attachment Theory, as it guides my work.

I continue to be informed by the attachment processes of children and families.

The information in this site is provided with the hope that others may advance and share their understanding of human attachment.
